Think & Grow Rich & The Bible Part 1

Think and Grow Rich' and the Bible"

Hello folks, it's John Highly here from Kingdom Power Life. Today I've got something exciting for you. We're going to take a classic book, "Think and Grow Rich", and look at it from a new angle – through the lens of the Bible.

The reason we're doing this is simple: the Bible is the real deal. While other books might provide a piece of the puzzle, the Bible has got the whole picture. It shows us the road to our promised land in ways other books can't.

Now, let me clarify something right off the bat. This journey into "Think and Grow Rich" isn't about pushing you to become super-rich. It's about showing you that we're all here on earth to be a blessing to others. As you know, God is the ultimate giver – He gave us His only son. And He loves it when we're happy givers. But to give a lot, we need to have a lot.

But don't get it twisted, having a lot doesn't just mean a fat bank account. It's about having a rich life in all ways - good relationships, a fulfilling life, and spiritual peace. By matching our lives with God's wisdom, we realize that being rich covers all areas of life.

So, think about what being rich means to you. For me, it's about having a full life that follows God's plan. If you're here watching this, I bet you want the same thing.

That's why I'm inviting you to join me on this journey that I'm calling "Think and Grow Rich with the Bible". This is the first in a series of four videos, each one taking a look at different parts of the book in the light of Bible teachings.

Back in the day, "Think and Grow Rich" helped me shift from a poverty mindset to an abundance mindset. It was my go-to book when I was running my automotive business, and it played a huge role in changing my thinking.

Now, years later and with a degree in biblical theology, I'm looking at the book again, but with fresh eyes. I've found that while not everything in the book is bang on, a lot of it can be made sense of within what God has already shown us. After all, good things, real gifts, come from God, and this book has been a real gift to many.

In today's world, we often find ourselves in a state of constant judgment. Our focus is misguided, and we find ourselves concentrating on the wrong things. As men of faith, we need to heed the message from Philippians 4:8 where Paul advises us to shift our attention to whatever is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, and commendable.

This shift is a stepping stone towards living in the Spirit and beginning our walk in abundance. Here's where the principles of 'Think and Grow Rich' come into play, especially the emphasis on gratitude. A grateful heart is something God treasures, and cultivating this gratitude brings us closer to Him.

It's worth noting that fear and gratitude cannot coexist. When we harbor a grateful state of mind, fear finds it difficult to creep in. In essence, gratitude drives out fear. This aligns with the idea from 'Think and Grow Rich' that our thoughts manifest in our reality. Hence, fostering positive, grateful thoughts transforms our reality.

This transformative power of our thoughts is reflected in Romans 12:2. The verse calls us not to conform to the patterns of this world but to renew our minds. This renewal allows us to discern and walk in God's good, pleasing, and perfect will.

Our world today is muddled with misguided patterns and priorities. The chase after material possessions and worldly success often eclipses our spiritual wellbeing. However, the scripture provides us with the blueprint to break away from these patterns and invites us to a renewal of our minds.

As men seeking to live in abundance and harmony with God's plan, we need to embrace this transformation. Remember, living a life of abundance isn't just about amassing wealth. It's about living in alignment with God's will, being a blessing to others, and fostering a spirit of gratitude.

As we journey through 'Think and Grow Rich' with a Biblical lens, we explore not just the concepts of wealth and success, but how these align with God's purpose for us. This exploration isn't about creating billionaires or millionaires but nurturing men who understand their divine calling to be a blessing for others.

Stay tuned for this engaging series that blends traditional wisdom with divine guidance. We are here to live abundantly and be a cheerful giver in our unique way, living a Kingdom Power Life.

To live the life God has planned for us, we need to renew our minds, foster gratitude, and focus on what truly matters. With these in mind, we are on the right path towards abundance, aligning our lives with God's will. As we continue this journey, let's remember that all gifts come from God, and true abundance encompasses all aspects of our lives.

However, beneath this familiar facade lies a deeper truth waiting to be uncovered – a truth that lies in the ancient Greek term "Ekklesia."
